The Amazing Success of Yenomi Park

At only 13 years old, Yeonmi Park was forced into some conditions that many will never have to face. Reason.com has reported that Park had to cross the entire Gobi desert to reach the Mongolian border. This is the story of a young woman who had to defy all odds in order to get out of North Korea. Park had to live outside of the law so as not to be caught. Starvation, abuse, and other types of violence were becoming the norm for Park. Park’s story of success is one that is captivating thousands all over the world. Her story of resilience is one that shows many all over the world that you can overcome all obstacles in order to live the life that you deserve.

Yeonmi Park is now standing tall in the face of all opposition. She is speaking on behalf of Korean refugees all over the world. She has been threatened by Korean government officials, but this is something that is not going to keep her from what she knows she has to do. She is the voice of the voiceless. Her hope is that her story can help to change the current situation that is evolving in North Korea.

Park is still adjusting to her new found freedom. Now living in New York City, she is finding it hard to believe that there is food readily available at every street corner. She is finding it easier to deal with her rocky past, but it wasn’t always this easy. Park told Dailymail she had to spend years in gang filled Asia to finally be reunited with her mother. Now living in America, Park feels as though she has a very bright future ahead of her. One of her main missions in life is to spread the awareness of how grim the situation really is in North Korea.
