Sujit Choudhry on the Importance of Information in Democracies

Sujit Choudhry, noted constitutional lawyer, recently sat down with CEOCFO Magazine to discuss his career, as well as newly established foundation, The Center for Constitutional Transitions. Throughout his career, Sujit Choudhry has worked with closely with growing democracies from around the world, and has developed a keen insight into not only how they operate, but how those lessons can be brought back to America.

After working with democracies around the world for so many years, Sujit Choudhry felt it was time to establish an organization that could collect and analyze data related to constitutional policies. By collecting this data and then analyzing its various effects, as related to constitutional policies, Sujit Choudhry hopes that politicians can make smarter decisions. Aside from his interest in policy and constitutional issues, Sujit Choudhry is also recognized for his hard work and educational background. As a result of being raised by two professors, Sujit Choudhry had a very intense love of education developed in him as a child, and it has something that he feels has helped him find success throughout his career. Of course, Choudhry also has a message for entrepreneurs as well. In the course of his career, he has found that pursuing perfection can often come at the cost of something that is otherwise acceptable. By learning to trust in others, and to delegate responsibly, Choudhry has not only built a successful career, but enjoyed a good life as well.
