Singer Norka Luque was born on February 7th, 1986 in Caracas, Venezuela. Norka liked music when she was a schoolgirl. After she graduated from high school she traveled to France to learn French.

She was there for four years. While there she attended business school. She also sang in an alternative music band named Bad Moon Rising.
Norka next relocated to Monaco. It was there that she worked in the banking industry before deciding to move to the U.S. to pursue a career in music. Her interest in singing was inspired by a number of people including Abuela, Britney Spears, Hanson, NSync and her parents.
More recently she also admitted a fondness for other artists including Aerosmith, Alesso, Bob Sinclair, Enrique Iglesias, Jay Z, Ricky Martin, George Michael, Nirvana, Queen, Shakira and Sia. Her signature sound is a musical mashup of multiple music genres including dance, Latin, pop and urban.
Norka worked with producer Jose Velazquez and Emilio Estefan Jr. Her debut disc, Miracle, would eventually yield a trio of successful singles and award nominations. In 2011 she premiered her first single “Como Lo Haces Tu” which was written by Archie Peña.
The song scored her a nomination for “Female Pop Artist of the Year” in the Premios Lo Nuestro. She dropped the second single, titled “Milagro”, from the album in 2012 the same year as the album itself was released. This song was also written by was Peña.
The track was released in different versions including a salsa arrangement by Cucco Pena. It topped the charts in Venezuela for three and a half months. In 2013 she even put out “Mademoiselle, Messieurs” which was a throwback to her days in France.
There is also an English-language dance version of “Milagro” titled “Miracle Club Mix” which was remixed by DJ Ralphi Rosario and dropped in 2014. It peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Dance Club chart. Later an urban remix produced with Dominican El Cata was also recorded.
That was also the year that her epilepsy caused her to suffer through more health problems. She has dealt with epilepsy since 2007. She had brain surgery at the start of the following year.
She recovered and released a new single, co-produced with Fito Blanko and Hit Legends, named “Tomorrowland” later that year. Her most recent release, which hit record racks earlier this year, is titled “La Vida Es una Fiesta”. She currently lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
